"The running is what I'm looking for. It's enjoyable."

'Surreal Experience

Along with the forward's 6 scores on his first game, Stephen Ireland has scored eight in three appearances for the side, while George Boyd scored five on his debut appearance and Joleon Lescott, a defender by position, scored a hat-trick in one game as a striker.

"I think I was a little awestruck facing Figueroa to be honest.

"Also Emile [Heskey] came on and he's has over 60 England caps.

"We competed well for a solid 20 mins but then we had a man dismissed and it was hard.

"We really have not ceased chatting about it - I was calling my mum and brother on the journey home.

"They were all dead sound, shaking our hands after the match - it was like playing a group of normal fellas.

"Now we are eager for the second fixture."

"We scored one-nil ahead and had a
