Assassin's Creed Reveals Surprising AoT Crossover for Holiday Season

In a bizarre collaboration that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Revealed

According to the official release, "A mysterious encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The storyline features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine cult.

The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an exclusive katana in addition to numerous objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
